CHRIS THE FATHER

Chris is a devoted husband and a proud father. Fatherhood has been one of his greatest teachers, shaping how he understands leadership, patience, and responsibility within the family system. Being a parent has continually reinforced his belief that effective leadership at home is not about control, but about presence, intentional guidance, and helping children grow into confident, capable individuals prepared to lead their own lives well.
Faith plays a central role in how Chris approaches fatherhood. He believes children learn the best and the most by what they see modeled at home, how conflict is handled, how accountability is practiced, and how love is shown consistently. His work with families is deeply informed by the real, everyday work of raising children at different stages while maintaining connection, structure, and shared values.
CHRIS THE HUSBAND
Chris has been married to his wife, Shauntay Matthews, for two decades. Their marriage is not just the foundation of their family, but a shared mission. Together, they have navigated the realities of long-term commitment, parenting, personal growth, and professional partnership.
Shauntay works alongside Chris across their counseling organizations, playing a key leadership role in the operations of Behavioral Health Intervention Center, where she helps guide addiction counseling and recovery services, while also providing couples counseling through Relationship Counseling Group. She brings a steady, empathetic, and grounded presence to her work with couples, families, and women. Their partnership reflects the principles they teach—clear communication, mutual respect, faith-centered values, and a shared commitment to growth through challenge rather than avoidance. Chris’s work with couples is shaped not only by clinical training, but by the lived experience of practicing partnership, leadership, and intentional love day after day.
